Nats Are Cracking Under Pressure

Nationals Leader John Barilaro is lashing out at the PM because he hasn't got the guts to stand up to Gladys Berejiklian.

Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party MLC Robert Borsak responded to John Barilaro’s dummy-spit about the Prime Minister’s leadership, saying that the NSW National leader is cracking under pressure.

“John Barilaro spitting-the-dummy on 2GB today just shows that he’s cracking under pressure leading up to the 2019 state election,” Mr Borsak said.

“Mr Barilaro and the Nationals know that their Coalition Government is falling apart in New South Wales, and the Queensland election results have made them worried.

“Newer political parties like One Nation tanked electorally but took a lot of votes off the LNP. However, more established minor parties were successful in securing seats.

“The Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party is an established political party with a 20-year history in New South Wales.

“The swings of at least 20 per cent we’ve received in recent rural by-elections has the Nationals worried.

“Mr Barilaro’s own seat is on a slim 2.5 per cent margin and it’s obviously worrying him.

“Before the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party started contesting Lower House seats, all the Nationals had to do to get elected was to show up on polling day. Now they have to actually work for every single vote.

“The ineffective National Party can’t rest on their laurels anymore, and today’s outburst shows that they’re cracking under pressure.”
