Steve Cansdell announce candidacy for 2019 State election

With the next NSW state election planned for March 2019 Steve Cansdell has stepped up to the mark. The people of Clarence need a strong voice in Sydney and Steve is our man.

The Grafton Hotel was home to the launch and Steve was joined by a huge cross section of the community. People know Steve will stand up for them, stand up for rural and regional values.

"I begin my campaign as the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party candidate for Clarence for the 2019 March State election. I was joined by over 50 people at The Grafton Hotel to announce my candidacy and I look forward to seeing you on the road."

Steve has been representing the people of Clarence for over 25 years. Elected as a member of the Grafton City Council in 1993 and holding that position until moving to the lower house of the NSW State Parliament in 2003 becoming parliamentary secretary to Police. Steve resigned from State Parliament in September 2011.

"I look forward to getting on the road and campaigning. Our community is full of amazing people and families, and I look forward to meeting you all."

Steve was the Australian Professional Light Heavyweight Boxing Champion in 1973 to 1974 and Queensland Professional Heavyweight Boxing Champion 1978 to 1981. 

He's been a fighter all his life and is is now fighting for the electorate of Clarence and fighting for country values.
"I'm fighting for our community again because we deserve better."
"We are the real country party. We are not pretenders,” he said.
