Troy Grant to Resign in 2019

National Party Member for Dubbo and Police Minister Troy Grant announced on Twitter that he will resign at the 2019 election because he doesn't want to face a vote from his own electorate.

Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party MLC Robert Borsak responded to the announcement by Police Minister and National Party Member for Dubbo Troy Grant that he intends to resign at the March 2019 election.

“Troy Grant has failed his electorate, and the people of Dubbo deserve a chance to vote him out at the ballot box," Mr Borsak said.

“Mr Grant resigning at the election has denied them that right.

“Let’s not forget that Troy Grant was the architect of banning greyhound racing, cuts to the Police Force, and pushed for the forced merger of rural Councils.

“The Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party is in the middle of preselecting a candidate and we will be making an announcement shortly.

“We keep hearing that people in Dubbo are fed up with being taken for granted by Troy Grant and the National Party. Dubbo deserves better.”
