Statement from Robert Borsak MLC: Donato, Butler and Dalton resignations

I wish our former members all the best and can only hope they will continue to fight for their constituencies, and not be coerced by the major parties.

Phil Donato is a good local MP, but he is just that only local.

The recent resignations of Phil Donato and Roy Butler have come as unfortunate news not only to the Party but also Law Abiding Firearms Owners, Fishers, Farmers and all those that the Party has stood with and campaigned for in the last four or more years.

Parliament Fails NSW Timber Communities

Both sides of politics are responsible for decimating the NSW timber industry following the withdrawal of a government bill that would remove dual consent approvals for private native forestry.

Borsak Warns Coles Supermarket - "Pay our farmers or risk losing them"

The Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party leader, Robert Borsak, today warned Coles supermarket group that their request for farmers to "cut costs" rather than increase prices would propel NSW into a food security crisis.

Varroa Mite - Compensation for Beekeepers to Contain Biosecurity Threat

Shooters Fishers and Farmers MLC Mark Banasiak is calling on the Government to compensate beekeepers who must destroy their hives infected with varroa mite. 

"There is growing concern within beekeeping communities that hives with varroa mites are not being destroyed due to the enormous financial impact it will have," said Mr Banasiak. 

Mt Arthur Mine - Key to Jobs and Energy Crisis

The closure of BHP’s Mt Arthur coal mine unnecessarily ends thousands of direct and indirect jobs in the Upper Hunter that could be sustained into the future, according to Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party leader Robert Borsak.

Borsak Introduces Bill to Repeal Wage Cap

Leader of the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party, Robert Borsak, has today introduced a bill in the Legislative Council that will remove the public sector wages cap, if passed.
